My Story.

Jordan Bradbury Catering was started in 2019 as a way to bring classic New Orleans food with my own twist to the comfort of your own home.

I attended culinary school in South Louisiana at Nicholls State University at the John Folse Culinary Institute. During culinary school, I worked for local New Orleans restaurants, Drago’s, New Orleans Marriott, and White Oak Plantation. I also went to Augusta, Georgia to work at the Masters Tournament twice while in school. Following culinary school, I continued to work for Chef John Folse. After leaving White Oak Plantation, I returned to New Orleans to work for the Link Restaurant Group. After working for the Link Restaurant Group for 3 years, I decided to leave and start my own business.

I knew that I always wanted to start my own business, but I never quite knew what direction I wanted to go in. After working for many different types of restaurants in the industry, I found my love in catering. The restaurant industry is a male dominanted field, and I worked for men in every kitchen I worked in. After spending 4 years in culinary school, I knew I had the knowledge and passion to create my own food and recipes. However, when working for someone else, you create what they want you to create. Being a young female in kitchens, people definitely overlook you. I started Jordan Bradbury Catering as a way to show everyone in South Louisiana what I am capable of.

In 2020, just like all restaurants in the world, I did not know what to expect of my future as a new business owner. One day in March, a friend approached me to send a meal to a mutual friend who is a nurse. Once I posted the picture of the nurses eating my food, more people reached out to me to send food to more healthcare workers. From March t0 June, I raised $10,000 and fed 1,000 healthcare workers. The Covid-19 pandemic helped me grow my business in ways I never thought imaginable.

Jordan Bradbury Catering is a one woman show. Every menu you see is written by me. Every piece of food you order, is made my me. Every phone call, email, and message is answered by me. I have such a passion for food, and my goal is to bring delicious, comforting, and beautiful food to everyone in New Orleans. In New Orleans, we celebrate everything we do around food, this includes weddings, funerals, new babies, and birthdays. It is such an honor to get to celebrate all of these life experiences with all of my customers.
